About Us

GROW Enrichment is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization based in Nashville, TN. As a community development partner, GROW seeks to increase sustainable land use in the urban setting. Through a partnership with Metro Nashville Parks Department, GROW operates a large project site at Two Rivers Park where we are applying permaculture methodology to engage the public in the process of restoring an urban green space. Our goal is to engage people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities as we teach restorative land management through hands-on experiences. Whether you attend an organized program with us, participate in a volunteer event, tour the site with a group, or meet us by chance while you are out enjoying the green-way; we hope you will find inspiration for your own ecological journey when you visit GROW!

GROW's mission is to cultivate a love of nature in our students so that they will mature into their own roles as stewards of the natural places we share.

Experience

To truly understand nature we must live in it, allowing for scraped knees and muddied clothes for the sake of authentic learning.

Plant

This is what instructional time looks like at GROW. It's messy, earthy, relational, experimental, and hopeful.

Build

At GROW students build habitats but also friendships, character, and knowledge.

Observe

Students at GROW learn to be peaceful and carefully observe the world around them

Play

Play is the work of children. GROW recognizes children's fundamental need to understand their world through creative play and we use this as a core of our instructional strategy.

Create

GROW uses a variety of methods and materials to help children absorb the lessons we present, including sensory-based art lessons.

Cultivate

As students learn to care for plants and creatures in the garden they cultivate self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment.

Taste

Students at GROW get frequent opportunities to taste the foods and flowers grown at the garden. GROW is committed to your child's health and uses only organic farming methods.

Collaborate

Students of all ages can learn together in our flexible classroom environment
